John,
You may have heard us mention that our next FEC end-of-quarter deadline is at the end of this month, so I wanted to take a moment to explain what this deadline is and why it’s so important for our campaign.
After every fundraising quarter, the Federal Election Commission requires campaigns to publicly report how much money they’ve raised. This is a big deal for all campaigns, but it’s especially important for ours since we’re running in such a competitive race. Everyone will look at our report to see if we have what it takes to flip this seat. If we post a strong number, it will show we can win, and that will attract even more support. If we come up short, then it becomes harder to get back on track.
This is also our last FEC deadline before Election Day, which makes it even more important for us to have a strong quarter and show the GOP just how strong our grassroots team is.
So, John, can I count on you to contribute $5 or whatever you can to help us stay on track and have our best quarter yet?

With gratitude & high hopes,
Josh
