Friends,

Eighty-four years ago tomorrow, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act into law to protect the average family “against the loss of a job and against poverty-ridden old age.”

For decades, America has kept its promise to senior citizens and the disabled, with Social Security giving them dignity and economic security. And millions of working families and seniors depend on Medicaid and Medicare for affordable health care coverage too.

But take a look at these two headlines from the last year:

“Senate Leader Mitch McConnell said that Republican leaders will focus on cutting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.” - Forbes

“Trump said he wouldn’t cut Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare. His 2020 budget cuts all 3.” - Vox.com

Antonio Delgado and other Democrats were able to stop Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s devastating proposed cuts to Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare in the latest federal budget -- but that doesn’t mean they won’t try again.

It’s never mattered more to make sure Antonio Delgado is re-elected in 2020.

That’s why we want to raise $10,000 from grassroots supporters like you before midnight on the anniversary of the Social Security Act being signed into law. Will you step up and be one of the 37 donors from Washington we need to hit our goal?

Remember, Antonio Delgado for Congress doesn’t take corporate PAC donations. We rely on people like you chipping in what they can, when they can.

Thank you so much for your support,

Antonio Delgado for Congress
