John,
My name is Joe Kerr and I’m running for Congress in California’s 40th Congressional district. I am extremely proud to be a SEEC PAC-endorsed climate champion this year!
Here’s a bit more about me: I am a second-generation firefighter who served as a Fire Captain with the Orange County Fire Authority for 34 years. I was elected as the first President of the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association, where I served for 17 years.
Did you know that one 100,000 acre fire emits the same CO2 greenhouse gasses as 7 million cars running continuously for a year and leaves the affected area incapable of carbon sequestration for decades after? Without solving wildfires, we can’t solve the climate crisis.
We need a firefighter’s perspective in Congress to tackle this immense challenge. That’s why I need your support to win the election in only 56 days! So, will you please split a donation between me and SEEC PAC today? [[link removed]]

In addition to my work as a firefighter, I also served as the Vice Chair of the Water Quality Control Board where I was the first to fine serial polluters $1,000,000 and hold them accountable to the citizens they were recklessly endangering.
I believe climate change is an emergency and we must take action now to protect our communities. In Congress, I will take my 34 years of experience to lead the effort for increased funding for fire detection technology, protect our clean air and water, and hold serial polluters accountable.
Will you chip in now to help me win this election and send a firefighter to Congress? [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Joe Kerr
