This week, association members from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) will meet with members of Congress to emphasize the importance of robust public transportation networks and the nation’s urgent need to fund critical upgrade and expansion projects.

Public transportation plays a critical role in connecting people to their jobs and career opportunities, strengthening local economies, and supporting vibrant communities. With the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) still being implemented, we must maintain a steady drumbeat of support and champion initiatives that allow for the maximum amount of funding allocated by the law.
