Team MBM Weekly Update

Only 57 days until Election Day (and 42 until Early Vote begins)

Happy Monday,

I hope you all had a restful weekend. My team and I are diving into the week full steam ahead, as the clock (quickly!) counts us down toward Election Day. We are out talking to as many voters as possible between now and then - and I hope you'll join us!

Last week, we announced some BIG endorsements, including the SC chapters of labor giants AFL-CIO and Communication Workers of America (CWA), as well as State Senators Margie Bright Matthews and Ronnie Sabb, and local community leader Daniel Martin III. Keep your eye out for more exciting updates on that front.

At the end of August, I had the opportunity to attend the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The energy and unity on display was inspiring, and a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together with a common purpose. I came back with that same spirit of unity and optimism, but also a renewed energy to fight for this district and the people who call it home.

  • Later this month, bring a friend to meet MBM at Kind of Blue on 9/23 - and join us for lunch the following day in Bluffton to celebrate our local chapter of Bluffton-HHI Women for Moore!

Join us Sunday 9/22 when Michael and Nancy will share the stage at BSBI Synagogue in Charleston for their first SC-01 Congressional Candidate Forum of the season, hosted by the Charleston Jewish Federation. This event is free & open to the public.

It's been a packed few weeks, but nothing compared to what's coming...GOTV is right around the corner! I'm grateful to those of you who have joined us recently, and hope we will see you all out there!

• I was honored to spend time at a number of veterans events over the past weeks, including The Beaufort County Spirit of Hope Stand Down and the American Legion Post 147’s Annual Crab Crack on James Island (no comments on my crab-eating skills please!)

• I had the chance to roll up my sleeves working a shift at the Sandalwood Food Bank on Hilton Head – shoutout to Nannette Pierson and her amazing team!

• We also had a great Women for Moore launch down in Beaufort a few weeks ago, where we were joined by candidates Melinda Henrickson and Julie Hussey from the district. 
• We've got volunteers in our Charleston-area office every day making calls and reaching out to voters. Sign up for an office shift here or make calls with us!
