Subject: One Year of Leadership and Growth for the Hawaii Republican Party

Aloha Hawaii Republicans,

As of September 9th, it marks a full year since I was elected as your State Chair. Over the past year, we’ve worked tirelessly to turn challenges into opportunities, and I want to take a moment to reflect on all we have achieved together.

When I took office, the Hawaii Republican Party was facing a difficult situation—deep in debt, with a lien on our building that put us on the verge of foreclosure. Through the hard work and dedication of many, we not only avoided disaster but sold the building, paid off our debts, and now find ourselves in a more secure financial position. While there is still more to do, we are building a solid foundation for the future.

Key Accomplishments
* We successfully completed all three levels of the GROW Program, earning over $50,000 from the RNC—an accomplishment Hawaii had never achieved before.
* We've retained a legal firm to provide ongoing counsel for the party.
* Vice Chair Teri Savaiinaea developed a Candidate Training Program, which we offered at no cost to candidates. The training was recorded for their ongoing use.
* We rolled out the Numinar system for voter outreach, thanks to the efforts of Vice Chair Kaulana Lee.
* The Prince Kuhio fundraiser, which aided in some support for our candidate campaigns, also lead by VC Kaulana Lee
* Radio commercials are being aired statewide, encouraging voters to register and support Republicans down the ballot.
* Signs supporting our Presidential Candidate and Republican candidates are being delivered to every county for sign-waving efforts.

Building Candidate Support
Our counties are now taking the lead in supporting county-level candidates. I encourage everyone interested in getting involved or who are running for office to contact your County Chairs to seek how they can support you:
* East Hawaii: Mark Jones - [email protected]
* West Hawaii: Dalene McCormick - [email protected]
* Maui: Tamara Perkins - [email protected]
* Honolulu County: Steve Lipscomb - [email protected]
* Kauai: Ana Mo Des - [email protected]

National Convention and Representation
Our party was well-represented at the National Convention in Milwaukee, where Shirlene Ostrav appointed delegates who cast their votes for our chosen Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump and also the 3 RNC delegate representatives, which included myself, Laura Nakanelua and Gene Ward. Our New National Committeeman, Nolan Change also attended and was able to be a proxy for Gene Ward during the RNC summer meeting. It was an honor for me, as the Hawaii Republican Party State Chair, to sign the official document solidifying Donald Trumps, nomination. This event not only strengthened our ties with members across the nation but also built stronger bonds within our own Hawaii delegation.

Additional Achievements
* No more lien on the building, with taxes caught up.
* Budget submitted and approved twice by the state committee.
* Successful organization of the state convention and secured venue for the 2025 convention to be on Kauai May 24,25, paid in full.
* Regular weekly newsletters to keep our members informed.
* Recovered essential social media accounts and GOP Hawaii email access.
* Adjusted expenses to focus on key priorities and eliminated unnecessary costs.
* Rules committee and submissions for a better organization, lead by Brett Kulbis
* A user friendly website that is a also a useful tool-Managed by VC Jennifer Hunt
* Our Vice Chair of Community Service, Andrea Rodgers is working on great connections and beach clean ups that we can continue to be involved with now and long term.
* Our Vice Chair of coalitions-Continues her efforts with the 2A and church efforts as well as working with various rally groups. She also working to expanse our coalitions relationships as mentioned and with Veterans as well.
* Our new (temp)Treasurer, Dave Bueler, is taking tasks of the finance and accounting portion with great dedication and has embraces his role. He will assist in helping us move the audit forward. (Temp as he has to be confirmed by the State committee which is coming up soon)

What’s Next
There is still much to be done, but we are making great progress. Some upcoming and ongoing initiatives include:
* A golf tournament fundraiser, to be in collaboration with Maui.
* A bowling tournament and party being planned by Vice Chair Teri Savaiinaea.
* A Patriot event and membership program to be led by VP Sheryl Bieler.
* Town halls, recruitment drives, and the creation of membership goals for each precinct, district, and county.
* A forensic audit to ensure transparency in our financial practices.

Our new national Committeeman Nolan Chang has taken on the organizing of an upcoming event on September 10th at the Artistry beginning at 530pm for our candidates and guest speaker Phil Izon will share his insights.

We are also working closely with Aristotle, FEC, and the state to ensure proper and legal use of funds from the building sale, which remains secure in a designated bank account.

There is a lot more that we have accomplished regardless of the challenges that have been brought before us. We have more to do, and we are continuing onward to a better party for a better tomorrow. It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen sooner with more involvement and focus on working together instead of against each other within our own team.

If you are interested on how to vote, where to vote, what are the roles of the counties and the state, you can find all those answers and more on our website, www.thehawaiirepublicanparty.com

There are a lot of people who have dedicated a lot of time and their heart and soul to try and make the Hawaii Republican Party a better party for the people. I appreciate all of the support from so many members and volunteers of the party, from new members, family, friends, members of the executive committee, the state committee, national support, the RNC and beyond. There are many who have been there to answer the phone, to encourage me to not give up and fight fight fight. I thank you all, and many of you an extra mahalo (you know who you are)

It’s Time for Change
For over 60 years, we’ve faced setbacks, but now is the time to chart a new course. I believe our best days are ahead, and together, we can achieve the change we so desperately need. Your continued support, dedication, and involvement are crucial to our success. People are waking up, and those who continue to tear down the party, obstruct, and those who are showing their colors. People are tired of the nonsense and just want to focus on the message and doing what they can to contribute to the common goal…to Save Hawaii and Make America Great Again (M.A.G.A).

Let’s move forward, united and focused on making the Hawaii Republican Party stronger and more impactful than ever. Let’s get out and focus on our local candidates. They are who will impact us directly with their success of election to their seats.

Mahalo for all you do.

Sincerely,
Tamara McKay
Chair, Hawaii Republican Party

** Applicable Working History
------------------------------------------------------------

Our Declaration of Independence was written in 1776.
It is now nearly 250 years since written by
by our founders. Possibly readers of our original
Declaration are impressed that the messages
written then still apply?
While reading this document remember “He” is the King.
“He has refused for a long Time, after such
Dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby
the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation,
have returned to the People at large for their exercise;
the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all
the Dangers of Invasion from without,
and Convulsions within.
He has endeavored to prevent the
Population of these States;
for that Purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization
of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage
their Migrations hither, and raising the Conditions of
new Appropriations of Lands.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice,
by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing
Judiciary Powers.
He has made Judges dependent on his Will
alone, for the Tenure of their Offices, and the Amount,
and Payment of their Salaries.
He has erected a Multitude of new Offices, and sent
hither Swarms of Officers, to harass our People, and
eat out their Substance.
He has kept among us, in Times of Peace, Standing
Armies, without the consent of our Legislatures.”
