The Long Range Planning Team is leading Island County’s 2025 Comprehensive Plan Update. Each month we hold Planning Commission meetings and present to the Board of Island County Commissioners on topics relevant to the Comprehensive Plan. Below are our upcoming meetings and engagement opportunities.
Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meets Wednesday, September 18th at 6 PM. The meeting agenda includes:
- Workshop: George Hernandez, Island County Human Services, will provide a presentation on affordable housing development.
- Public Hearing: The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Keystone Farm and Forest Preserve Comprehensive Plan Amendment to create a Special Review District.

Board of Island County Commissioner Meetings
The Long Range team will present to the Work Plan & Docket to the Board on Wednesday September 11th at 9:45 a.m. Please find the agenda and meeting materials in the agenda center.
