Hey, John,
Back in the Spring, I wrote about how honored I was to receive the endorsements of the State Employees’ Association Employees PAC and the NC Association of Educators Great Public Schools Fund. They represent what I think of as the State Treasurer’s main constituency groups—the people who rely every day on the state of NC’s benefits, healthcare, and retirement packages. As Treasurer, I’ll oversee those programs and their funding directly, and having the trust of those groups is an important key in our race.
Which is why I’m thrilled to share that this past week, the State Employees and the Teachers were joined by the NC Police Benevolent Association and the Professional Fire Fighters and Paramedics of NC, two of the largest advocacy groups for our law enforcement officers and other first responders. Those who protect and serve count on me to protect their pension and healthcare, and that means the world.

With the teachers, police, fire fighters, paramedics, and the rest of the state employees on my side, it sends a powerful message about our race. All of those folks are our everyday superheroes—they keep us safe, keep our state running well, and hold the future in their hands. I am so thankful to have their support, and now it’s time to let the voters know who these public servants trust with their futures.
And to do that, I need you [[link removed]] . With less than two months left until election day, we are well into crunch time. Put bluntly, these endorsements are the most important thing the people of North Carolina need to know about our campaign— because if they know that the people who depend on the outcome of this race trust me in this role, then they will elect me. And if we don’t have the resources to get that message out, they’ll be flooded with misinformation from my opponent and we’ll lose. It’s as simple as that.
But I know that we can do it together. John, can I count on you to please stand with our law enforcement officers, first responders, teachers, and state employees in supporting my campaign? Any amount you can contribute helps us reach the voters we need to win so that we can serve the people who serve our people. [[link removed]]
