Hi John,

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s plan to ban new gas and diesel vehicles is putting your wallet on the line.

And taxpayers across the country are taking action to fight back against the ban.

Here’s what’s at stake:

Trudeau’s government wants to eliminate the sale of new gas and diesel vehicles by 2035.

To support the millions of new electric vehicles, there will be a need for new massive power plants and tens of thousands of additional recharge stations.

You are bound to foot the bill and yet the government isn’t even telling taxpayers like you how much that will cost.

Recent reports show the transition would cost over $300 billion by 2040.

Choosing an electric vehicle should be a personal decision, not something mandated by the government – especially not at the expense of taxpayers.

The province of Quebec is pushing for an identical ban. It held an online public consultation about the proposal. Thousands of Quebecers spoke up in the consultation to oppose the ban.

Now the premier of Quebec is in a tough position. His policy is unpopular and that’s something politicians fear more than anything.

The time has come to send the same message to Trudeau.

When public consultations happen, or when Ottawa moves forward on the national ban, you need to be ready.

Signing the petition is the first step and it means you’ll be the first to know when it’s time to take action.
