We’ve all been wondering what will happen when Judge Merchan finally sentences Trump after finding that he was guilty. Will he go to jail? Be forced to pay fines? There’s no telling what will happen.

So, Merchan has decided that sentencing will wait until a few weeks after the presidential election has taken place.

Merchan issued a letter on Friday, explaining, "The public's confidence in the integrity of our judicial system demands a sentencing hearing that is entirely focused on the verdict of the jury and the weighing of aggravating and mitigating factors free from distraction or distortion.”
