John,
Since the news broke that two students and two teachers were killed in a school shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia one question has been on everyone’s lips:
In the state of Georgia, there are:
There are gaping holes in Georgia’s gun laws, and the fact is, if someone shows up to a school with an AR-15 ready to kill, it's already too late.
We have to act LONG BEFORE someone EVER has a chance to shoot us in our classrooms. Ban assault weapons. Pass universal background checks and safe storage laws. This is what it takes to end school shootings.
What more will it take for lawmakers to care and DO SOMETHING??
We refuse to move on from this. We refuse thoughts and prayers. We refuse empty promises without action. We refuse to forget. We will always honor with action. Thanks for joining us in this fight.
In solidarity,
March For Our Lives
