Williams Weekly

Dear Texans,

As I wrap up my time in the district meeting with constituents and local leaders to discuss the top issues facing TX-25, I am ready to bring a fresh perspective back to Washington, where I will continue the fight to uphold the values that matter most to you. From combating out-of-control government spending that burdens hardworking families, to standing with our law enforcement heroes, and working to end the Democrat-created border crisis and secure our nation, I remain committed to serving you. Read below for an update on my work this week.

Harris’ Attack on Small Businesses

Over the last four years, we've seen what a Harris Administration means for small businesses: high inflation, an unprecedented regulatory onslaught, and difficulty accessing capital. Harris’ tax deduction proposal is nothing more than an attempt to distract the American people from her dismal record on supporting America's job creators. As Chairman of the Committee on Small Business, I have led multiple hearings on tax policy, hearing directly from small business owners who all agree on one thing: the Trump tax cuts need to be extended. President Trump provided a blueprint for small business success, and if Harris were serious about helping small businesses, she would focus on extending the provisions set to expire in the coming years. Her policies are bad for Main Street and will put less money in the pockets of struggling Americans and small businesses.

Celebrated 125 Years of Tarleton Excellence

It was an honor to help celebrate 125 years of Tarleton State University excellence. Throughout the years, Tarleton has proven to be a strong asset to our community, graduating generations of thought leaders, high achievers, and visionaries. I look forward to seeing more and more students of all ages coming to Tarleton to pursue their educational dreams and cannot wait to watch as they go out and do great things.
