With just a few more hours left in the month, I wanted to reach out and give you an honest assessment about where things are for our campaign.

So much has happened in April: As we continued to move our campaign operation online, the GOP’s most powerful super PAC dropped $2 million against me, and election forecasters once again rated our race a toss-up.

I made it clear to my finance team that we shouldn’t raise our fundraising goal for April to make up for these changes. I didn’t want to lean on you during this difficult time any more than what is absolutely necessary.

But the truth is, we’re still behind on our baseline projection for the month. And since our race isn’t slowing down, neither can our fundraising.

I’m only asking for your help tonight because with just four hours left, it’s clear we won’t close our fundraising gap unless grassroots supporters step up. I hope it's not too much to ask if you can chip in a few dollars before our midnight deadline.
