It’s true: Rob is doing everything he can here and now in case Donald Trump is elected to the White House this November and makes good on Republicans’ desire to pass a nationwide abortion ban.
As Rob pointed out in an interview with Inside California Politics host Nikki Laurenzo:
“We’ve heard the conversation evolve. We’ve heard Supreme Court Justice nominees declare in public confirmation hearings that they believe Roe v. Wade is a precedent to be respected and that they would honor it. And the first chance they had to do the opposite, they did. I give my team instruction: Prepare for a national abortion ban.”
Just like Rob took rapid action to protect every person’s access to abortion across the state, took on misleading crisis pregnancy centers, and stockpiled the abortion bill in case of a ban, he is doing everything in his power to ensure California remains a safe haven for abortion even if Congressional Republicans pass and Trump signs an unconstitutional abortion ban into law.
