Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have lived it. For more than 800,000 years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280ppm ([link removed]) .

Our Earth passed 350ppm CO2 during 1988!
Mauna Loa Observatory ([link removed]) - We are now in the 420 - 425ppm range!

Dear John,

On the first day of Summer 2024, more than 265 million Americans ([link removed]) were subjected to “a climate change-supercharged, long duration and record-breaking heat wave
([link removed]) ” – exposing them to the No. 1 weather-related killer in the U.S.
[link removed]

#ExtremeWeatherSZN ([link removed]) 2024 is shaping up to be the hottest year on record with fatal heat, deadly tornadoes, destructive wildfires, and catastrophic hurricanes already happening – the time to #ActOnClimate
([link removed]) is now.

Average people aren't fueling this extreme weather. Big polluters burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas are to blame for these more intense, dangerous, and damaging storms ([link removed](the%20rise%20in,of%20more%20dangerous%20tropical%20cyclones.) . It's time for transparency.

Doesn't it make more sense to name extreme weather events after the polluters responsible ([link removed]) ?

Together for the climate,
All of us at 350 Wisconsin

P.S. Forward this email to three friends and ask them to join you in holding Big Polluters accountable for their role in fueling the climate crisis!
