Hey, John. It's Jen, Chair of the Harris-Walz campaign. I've seen a lot of chatter online today about our fundraising and I have to set the record straight.
I hope you’ll take a second to read about our progress over the past few weeks, what’s coming next, and why we’re counting on you to stay in this fight through the finish line.

Here’s Where We’re At
In August, we pulled in a record-breaking $361 million -- nearly tripling the Trump campaign’s August haul. August was also the best grassroots fundraising month in presidential history all thanks to this team.
What this team has accomplished over the past 7 weeks is incredible. And it’s all thanks to the joy and enthusiasm that the Vice President and Governor are bringing to the table. But I’m here to remind you:
We cannot let up.
As Vice President Harris has said since day one, we are the underdogs in this race. We have a lot of work to do to make sure we win this November, and that will require us to continue aggressively raising money.
The Electoral College benefits the Republican ticket. Even in 2020, when the Biden-Harris ticket won more votes than any ticket in history, the election came down to about 45,000 votes across the battleground states. This November, we anticipate margins to be similarly razor-thin. Every single vote will count.
A Quick Reality Check
Here's the deal: Donald Trump's megadonors are padding the coffers of far-right super PACs at a breakneck speed. And they’re not just sitting on that money. They are pouring it into ads in critical swing states to attack Vice President Harris.
Trump’s rich buddies have put half a billion dollars behind him -- more than our entire, record-breaking August raise. And that’s just his friends.
Over the past month, pro-Trump super PAC spending attacking the Vice President totaled $195 million -- besting our $150 million spend on paid media during that same time.
And it’s only what they’ve announced so far.
While Trump is all in on one to two “must win” states, our campaign strategy relies on a wide map. Our best pathway to 270 electoral votes requires us to aggressively compete in every battleground state. And playing in every battleground requires significant resources.
Where You Come In
I can't thank you enough for being a part of this team. But we have to keep it up.
Donald Trump and his allies are already outspending us by millions of dollars, have much, much more cash waiting in the wings, and have a much smaller ball game to fund.
The only way we can keep pace with their level of investment is if grassroots supporters like you stay in the fight.
Will you please pitch in a $25 donation today? You are the backbone of this campaign. We've set a goal to bring in 2 million contributions by Tuesday, and the Vice President needs this grassroots team to rise to the moment.
Rest assured, this weekend, our campaign will continue our important work. We have our largest Weekend of Action of the campaign planned with thousands of events across battlegrounds and tens of thousands of supporters doing the work to reach undecided voters.
While we’re organizing on the ground, we’re also getting our message out over the airwaves. We’re investing $370 million to share the Vice President’s vision directly with voters and emphasize the real threat Trump’s Project 2025 poses to our country.
These last 58 days are going to be hard. They're going to be a slog. The other side is going to try dragging us through the mud.
But we can do hard things. We've done it before. We can do it again now.
