D-Day is tomorrow, May 1! (College) D-Day or “Decision Day,” that is.
Decision Day is a momentous milestone for our high school seniors. It is the day by which students, many of whom will be the first in their families to go to college, must make their final choices on what school they will attend in the fall.
During a typical year, Fulfillment Fund marks this occasion by hosting joyous celebrations where students reveal their college decisions to their parents, teachers and one another. Check out Fulfillment Fund alumna, Laura, revealing her college decision to her family (click here or photo below)
This year, however, looks quite different.
Because our students’ final memories of high school won’t include donning a cap and gown or other rites of passage, Fulfillment Fund is bringing a virtual Decision Day celebration to them! Featuring college acceptances and decision reveals, along with congratulatory messages from Fulfillment Fund alumni, staff and volunteers, we are re-creating the magic of Decision Day with physical distance.

In addition to our virtual Decision Day party for students, we’re also hosting Sip & Celebrate: A Virtual College Decision Day Event for you, our supporters and friends! Throw on your favorite college sweater, and join the Fulfillment Fund family on Saturday, May 9 at 5:30 pm as we hear from two students about their college decisions, toast their achievements, and provide support for Fulfillment Fund’s continued work.
