Now more than ever
John,

I wanted to make sure you saw Mayor Parker’s note. Right now, we’re working hard to provide our candidates with valuable information that they need to win on Election Day. And we’re focused on making sure our supporters are still receiving updated information about our candidates’ races and our work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I’m excited to report that we’re seeing an AMAZING amount of grassroots support from donors like you. But we’re still a little short of where we need to be to continue these services. If 200 donors contribute just $10 each, we will hit our End of Month goal! Chip in now! Along with providing these essential candidate services, we’re preparing to take on some of America’s biggest bigots. We have plans to flip anti-equality legislatures in states like Texas, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. We can add historic LGBTQ voices at the state level in Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico and Georgia. We can DOUBLE the number of openly LGBTQ Congresspeople.

We can change our government for the better and elect candidates who will prioritize pro-equality legislation. Or we can allow bigots to keep their toxic hold on our rights. Donate today to break their grip and help Victory Fund hit our End of Month goal.

Thanks again,

Elliot Imse

Subject: 3 things we’re doing now

According to VICE News, LGBTQ organizations are facing huge fundraising deficits because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m sorry to say that Victory Fund is not exempt from this, and we’re in the process of reviewing our financial strategy for the rest of the year. We need your support more than ever. Will you chip in $15 or more for continued candidate support?

I’m excited to share just three of the unique things we’re doing for our LGBTQ candidates right now:
  1. Increasing our campaign consulting hours and hosting “candidate only” training sessions to help campaigns adjust their strategies.
  2. Providing an ever-expanding suite of new tools and resources about campaigning under COVID-19.
  3. Providing new visibility through our Facebook Live Winning 2020 series and other new digital programming.
To dive into the details, our Political team’s weekly “candidate only” training sessions provide up-to-date information on campaigning during COVID-19, connect candidates to partner organizations and give them a space to share best practices with each other. We’ve helped our LGBTQ candidates get ahead of the digital curve by providing advice and resources for moving their volunteer opportunities online and helping them adjust their field strategies. And finally, we’ve launched our Sunday Social and Victory Fund LIVE! online events so you can receive live updates from our staff, candidates, and elected officials.

We’re still able to offer essential services and support to our candidates. But it’s more important than ever that we hit our End of Month goal so we can continue to do so. Please chip in what you can today and help us continue these essential candidate services.

Thank you so much for your support. It means a lot.

Best,

Mayor Annise Parker

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power – so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
