It's an old cliche among environmental activists: Every Day is Earth Day.
And here at MCV, nothing is more true as we continue our work, day in and day out, to protect the beauty of our great state, combat the climate crisis, and work to elect conservation champions up and down the ballot.
We want to thank all of our incredible supporters who helped make our virtual Earth Day events so successful. And we'd like to give you a chance to enjoy Earth Day again if you missed some of the festivities last week.
Here's a rundown of all our Earth Day events — with lots of links — if you're looking to watch, read or take action while we're all hunkered down.
MCV's Maureen Drouin in the Bangor Daily News
Our executive director, Maureen Drouin, published an op-ed in the BDN last week reflecting on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the important steps Maine is taking now to address climate change, and the bold leadership we will need when the time comes to re-open and rebuild our economy.

Thank you to our supporters!
We want to express our sincerest thanks to all of you who stepped up during our Earth Week fundraising campaign to have your gifts triple-matched. We raised thousands of dollars to help fund our upcoming work to safeguard our elections and ensure the strongest possible Climate Action Plan here in Maine.
If you missed our campaign, you can still make a donation here.
Earth Day Round-up
Last week, Mainers joined MCV and Maine Audubon from their homes to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and take action. You can find recordings of all of the events, as well as links to fun activities and ways to take action on our Earth Day Virtual Fair page. Here are some of the highlights:
Earth Day Scavenger Hunt
