I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy.

Due to the nature of tonight’s Storm Heaven being a can’t miss event, we wanted to send out a special reminder that a leading American prelate, Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke will join with all the faithful as his brother bishops across the United States and Canada reconsecrate the two nations to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Why is this occasion so important now in 2020?

Bishop John Carroll of Baltimore, the first bishop of the United States, promoted devotion to Mary, the Mother of God, and placed the United States under her protection in a pastoral letter of 1792. The last time such a consecration was done by the bishops was at the dedication of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. in 1959.

Now is the time to rally remnant Catholics across North America which began when Archbishop José H. Gomez of Los Angeles and president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), announced that the U.S. bishops will join the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops on May 1 in renewing the consecrations of the two nations to the care of Our Blessed Mother.

Also, of particular importance, this consecration of our nation to Our Lady will be under the title, Mary, Mother of the Church!

This is truly storming heaven with prayer!

As Catholics in North America as well as around the world Storm Heaven, together uniting our prayers with His Eminence and the bishops of these conferences for this intention, it presents us a meaningful and powerful way to pray for an end to the coronavirus and the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges it has brought to all.
