With the election in full swing, Garcia recently began running TV ads in the district, and they’re about as terrible as you might imagine.

For starters, he’s trying to paint himself as a moderate after recently tanking in the polls for his hardline, right-wing positions in Congress.

But his ads were so misleading that the Los Angeles Times investigated and called him out publicly for essentially lying to voters about supporting the Violence Against Women Act.

A simple search of his voting record shows he actually voted against reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act in 2021 when it was passed by the Democratic House majority.

We can’t let these lies go unchecked -- especially not so close to election day. And as we work to get these ads taken off the air, we need an immediate response to make sure voters know the truth about Garcia’s record.
