People often think that it's the voters in the swing states who can make or break the results of the election – and look, we’ll all be watching the presidential battleground states come November.
But one thing I wish everyone would really take to heart is that it’s NOT just purple state votes that have a huge impact on our collective future.
I’ve heard this sentiment a lot – that because California is already a very blue state, our votes “don’t matter.”
That’s simply not true. I’m here to tell you that your vote counts every year, in every election – but especially this year, in this election, because the path to a Democratic House majority runs directly through California.
There are key races right here in California that will directly impact whether or not we flip the House in November – these six Democratic candidates are running for seats that are currently held by Republicans, and they need our support:
Adam Gray (CA-13), Rudy Salas (CA-22), George Whitesides (CA-27), Will Rollins (CA-41), Derek Tran (CA-45), and Dave Min (CA-47).
These six candidates are running in tough races, and not only do they need Californians in their districts to show up on Election Day, they’ll need our support in the lead-up, too. Together, we can build up their resources so they can reach Democratic voters and be ready to counter attacks from their GOP opponents.
