After I sent an email to you this morning expressing the importance of our April fundraising numbers, 48 people stepped up to help us close in on this month’s goal. I’m humbled by your outpouring of support -- especially with only hours left until we close the books on April. After Trump’s suggestion that we consider using disinfectant to clean our lungs, his attacks on Dr. Fauci, and his ousting of the official leading the fight to find a vaccine, it’s clearer than ever that we need scientists in Washington.

My opponent Lee Zeldin is one of Donald Trump’s science-denying puppets, and we need to defeat him. But as one of Trump’s most trusted allies in Congress, we know national Republicans and far-right groups are stockpiling money to secure Zeldin’s reelection this fall.

We’ve got our work cut out for us. Thankfully, with the support of people like you, we’re ready to run the vigorous voter outreach strategy, through the mail, online, and television ad spots, that we need to win.

But I cannot sustain these efforts without your help -- my team and I are counting on your continued support.
