Oregon students are headed back to school. I was one of those kids who looked forward to getting back in the classroom every fall. Sure, I loved the summer break, but I also loved seeing my friends and learning new things at school.

I want that same kind of excitement for every Oregon student. And that’s why I want Oregon’s schools to be the best they can be for every child.

Here’s how we’re going to get it done:

📚 Invest in early literacy programs to ensure all students are reading by third grade and all educators have the tools they need to support every student.

💵Request an additional $500 million increase in education funding to address budget gaps faced by our school districts.

🧑‍🏫 Increase summer learning programs around the state, to ensure our students stay on track during the summer months.
