“Our schools should be the safest buildings in the state.” Michele Morrow, Candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction

Our hearts are broken for the families and loved ones who have suffered such an unimaginable loss this week in Georgia. Our prayers are with those who will carry the grief and pain of this senseless violence for the rest of their lives. May God's comfort be close to each of them and carry them through this valley of sorrow and, in the coming months and years, bring joyful memories of their precious ones to their hearts and minds in the midst of the tears and heartache. No one in the United States of America should ever fear their loved one will not return from school alive. We are failing our communities, our families and our children. This must never happen again. We have the ability to stop it, but we must have the will and the courage to do so. Just yesterday, Wake County schools announced that they had strengthened security measures in their Raleigh schools because a young man suspected of murder had managed to get onto three of our campuses here in Raleigh on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. What have we done to our young people that they are resorting to violence and terrorist acts against their peers, their teachers and their own families? We can no longer turn a blind eye to the devastation that is being done to our young people, physically, emotionally and intellectually. The fear, hopelessness, division and disregard for human life fall directly on our shoulders, as adults. We have placed on our children burdens that they are unable to handle and have robbed them of their innocence. We cannot wait until another person dies at the hands of a violent criminal. We must ask ourselves where we have gone wrong and how we right this train. Please donate today to help me get my message of Safety, Discipline, Academics over Activism and funding students instead of systems to every voter in NC. As I have stated on many occasions, I believe that our children are on the front lines of a culture war, and, far too often, our classrooms are looking more like a warzone than a learning center. With an 84% increase in drug use, crimes and violence on our K-12 campuses over the past 5 years, is it any wonder why we are seeing such a rise in anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicides in our young people? We must remove our young people off the front lines of this battle and make our schools safe harbors from the chaos. This is the number one reason why I am running to be your next State Superintendent of Public Instruction and why I created a School Safety Advisory Council as one of my first actions after winning the primary. If we cannot, as a community, keep our most vulnerable and dependent citizens safe and secure and provide them a learning environment that is peaceful and engaging where every student is supported and challenged to meet their greatest potential, then we are failing our children and ourselves. If you agree with me that our schools must be bastions of safety, discipline, respect and integrity and we must STOP using our children as social, political and pharmaceutical guinea pigs, then I need your help. I am up against the educational industrial complex that has been destroying our faith, families and freedom through the indoctrination of our children. My opponent is on record as stating that the increase in crime and violence in our schools is a "false narrative" and that our School Safety Advisory council is unnecessary. He also remarked that the Parental Bill of Rights is "doing more harm than good." Given that this man spent 8 years as the CEO of the most radical, leftwing activist organization in NC, Z. Smith Reynolds, and is being endorsed by such groups as Planned Parenthood and Equality NC, we know that he is entrenched in and beholden to this failing system. If elected, Mo Green will push this Anti-american, racist, lawless and perverted agenda deeper into every district in NC, and our children will continue to be victims. If everyone receiving this email could send $60 for the final 60 days until the November 5th election, I would have the funds I need to fight against the failing indoctrination cabal and bring safety, hope and solutions to the students and families of NC. Please donate today and share this email with every one of your NC contacts who wants to keep our state and our nation safe, prosperous and free.
