Dear John,
She cowered in the corner of her carrier. Her small Siamese frame was curled into a tight little ball. She was literally scared stiff. You would be too after what this poor little kitty experienced.
Jinxy was one of the 56 dogs and cats we rescued after horrific storms in Oklahoma. We helped clear their shelters, so they could take in animals left homeless from natural disaster.
The minute we got Jinxy back to our Medical Center, this frightened little feline underwent a complete evaluation - and emergency surgery!
It’s times like these, when an animal’s life is on the line that we’re so very grateful for the generous support friends like you provide. You make it possible for PAWS Chicago to do whatever it takes to save animals.

Were it not for people like you, Jinxy, may never have received the surgery she desperately needed.
Within days Jinxy went from being unwanted and imperiled in an Oklahoma shelter to having families vying to take her home and give her the life she deserved.
What a difference a day can make. What a difference YOU can make!
Together we’re turning tragedy into triumph and ending the senseless killing of adoptable pets. For years, homeless animals were being routinely killed throughout Chicago while the public was kept in the dark. Thanks to friends like you PAWS Chicago, we’ve been able to help reduce the killing by 91% since 1997.
But we are not done and must do more.
