Just ahead of the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at DAYTONA International Speedway, these organizations came together to provide groceries for 250 pre-registered low-income and at-risk Veterans and active-duty military families in the Orlando area. The event featured NASCAR Cup Series driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr., representing Kroger and its partners. Stenhouse took time out of his busy race weekend to help distribute food and connect with the families in attendance. As the driver of the No. 47 Kroger/Biggie Muffins/Capri Sun Chevrolet Camaro, Stenhouse’s presence added extra excitement, especially ahead of his upcoming race at DAYTONA. What made this food distribution event even more special for the Soldiers' Angels team in Orlando is that it marked the second event of its kind for the month of August! Just one week earlier, on August 16, Soldiers' Angels held its regular monthly food distribution, which also served 250 Veterans and Service Members. In total, 500 low-income Military and Veteran families in the Orlando area received vital food assistance from Soldiers' Angels in a single month! Soldiers' Angels Highlights Food Insecurity Crisis in Fox News Interview With the growing concern over food insecurity among Military and Veteran families, Soldiers’ Angels has been front and center in addressing this critical issue. In a recent Fox News interview, CEO and President Amy Palmer, along with Army Veteran David Avila, highlighted the ongoing efforts of Soldiers’ Angels to provide much-needed food assistance. As inflation continues to affect countless households, Military families are experiencing a disproportionate level of food insecurity. Soldiers' Angels remains committed to supporting these families through targeted food aid and other essential services. Record-breaking Day for Soldiers’ Angels and Boeing San Antonio! The team at Boeing San Antonio achieved something truly remarkable that shattered records and made a significant impact on the lives of Veterans across the US. During a recent packing event at the Soldiers’ Angels warehouse, they packed an impressive 10,050 hygiene kits in just one day—setting a new record for the most kits packed in a single event. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of each and every one of the amazing Boeing employees who participated! Their commitment to give back to their community and support Veterans is truly inspiring. But the record-breaking achievements didn’t stop there. The event also saw the highest number of Boeing employees ever present during a single volunteer shift! We're so grateful for the continued support of the entire team at Boeing San Antonio! These hygiene kits, filled with essential toiletry items, will be distributed to Veterans in VA hospitals. Unlike public hospitals, VA hospitals do not provide funded toiletry items to patients, relying on donations instead. For those without family or friends to bring them these necessities, these kits are a crucial lifeline. By providing these kits, Soldiers' Angels is not just meeting a basic need but also ensuring that our Veterans know they are valued and remembered. Your support has brought comfort and dignity to those who have given so much for our freedom.
