Hi John, I'm Sarah McBride.

I’m a Democrat running to represent my home state of Delaware in Congress,
and the team at Leaders We Deserve said I could reach out to you about our
historic campaign.

In 2020, with the help of supporters just like you, I defied the odds and
became the first openly trans person elected to serve as a State Senator
anywhere in the country.

It really felt like America was blazing a path to the future.

But since then, the far-right has tried to use the LGBTQ+ community as a
scapegoat for their own policy failures. As they’ve increased their
attacks on families and kids, it has become even more clear: for our
democracy to work, it needs to include all of us.

We need to have a trans representative at the table in Congress.

Thanks to the support I’ve received in Delaware and across the country, we
have a real shot of winning this race and finally shattering this national
lavender glass ceiling, John.

lob hateful attacks between now and November to defeat our campaign.
