The first presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is just around the corner and, to date, neither have made clear commitments about fixing the legal forms of corruption in our government. 

You know, like how:

• SuperPACs use their massive cash reserves to buy elections and influence legislation
• Politicians redraw districts to guarantee their own victories
• Voters are forced to choose between the lesser of two evils, thanks to our winner-take-all, first-past-the-post system
• Corporate interests fund political campaigns and then reap the benefits of tax breaks and loopholes
• Citizens United allows unlimited dark money to pour into campaigns

We deserve answers. Let's demand the debate moderators ask the presidential candidates one simple question: "As president, what specific steps would you take to fix our corrupt political system?"
