Friends,

The impact of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak has affected everyone in our state – and our small businesses have been some of the hardest hit from the economic downturn that came with it.

Congress has passed four packages of legislation to help families, businesses, and communities deal with the effects of coronavirus. There is a lot of information, so I've put together a resource guide for folks who are looking for a quick understanding of what's available to them.

Over the past few months, programs like the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan have been rolled out to help small businesses stay afloat and keep their employees on payroll, but I’ve heard from Iowans who say they’ve had trouble accessing the program or haven’t gotten the loan they’ve been promised.

If you or someone representing your business has gone through the application for one of these loans, I want to hear from you! Please fill out the survey below.

Have you or someone representing your business recently applied for a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan?
If yes, did you apply for the program before the week beginning April 26th?
If your business is applying/applied for a PPP loan, do they intend to satisfy the criteria to make it forgivable?
Did your business receive a PPP loan?
If not, why?
If not, please feel free to use this space to share additional comments with me.

Have you or someone representing your business recently applied for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)?
Have you considered applying for an advance on your EIDL?
Did your business receive an EIDL?
If not, why?
If not, please feel free to use this space to share additional comments with me.

Thank you,
Cindy
