This week in our round-up of must-read posts: The Circulator’s shutdown looms while promises to transfer the service to WMATA remain unfulfilled—but it doesn’t have to be that way. Rockville has forged ahead with a “complete streets” approach to make the city’s streets safer, and now state officials are signalling they’re ready to re-engineer their roads, too. “I am the Lorax who speaks for the trees, which you seem to be chopping as fast as you please!” is probably what the Lorax would say about the NPS plan to rehab the Rock Creek Park Golf Course. Montgomery County is weighing two major policies that will impact housing affordability and supply, and your voice is needed on both of them.

OMG the GGWash Fall Mixer is in 18 days! Join us on September 25 at Metrobar for the biggest pro-transit, pro-housing party around. Tickets and details >>
