On the campaign trail, I get asked all the time why I’m running for Congress. I wanted to reach out, personally, to explain exactly why I entered this race. I grew up in a working-class family. Both of my parents were teachers and there were times when it felt impossible to get ahead. I know a lot of families today can relate.
Despite doing everything right, countless families across America just can’t seem to get ahead.
I’m running for Congress because our community deserves a Congresswoman who’s not afraid to stand up to anyone to ensure Oregonians get ahead.
We need leaders who will stand up to far-right extremists, and deliver meaningful change for families across Oregon.
