Friends,

I hope you and your family are well! I wanted to provide you with a few updates regarding what’s going on –

The Cost of Biden/Harris Border Crisis

What could you do with an extra $957?

That’s how much each U.S. taxpayer paid last year to cover the $150.7 billion price tag of illegal immigration. In 2024, it will take even more out of your pocket.

When President Joe Biden Border Czar VP Kamala Harris failed to secure our Southern Border, 12 million illegal immigrants flooded into the U.S. in less than 4 years.

Democrats mocked Republicans for calling the Border Crisis an “invasion.” Now, we see illegal migrant criminals ransacking businesses and committing violent crimes across the country - including assault, robbery and domestic violence.

In Colorado, a Venezuelan prison gang forced Americans from their homes. Then, gang leaders brazenly targeted U.S. police officers. Biden/Harris are responsible for the border crisis.

The House passed the Secure the Border Act (H.R. 2) in May of 2023, a comprehensive border package that would actually secure the border. Today, it still sits on Sen. Schumer's desk.

The Senate Border Bill (S.4361) proposed in May of 2024 did little to secure the border, was dead on arrival, and was deemed nothing more than a political prop.

This is the cost of Biden/Harris border crisis.

In the District

Anderson University is debuting its first ever football team, the Trojans, and will be having their inaugural season this weekend. The game will feature the Anderson University Trojans playing against the St. Andrews’ Knights this Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1:00 pm.

Gregory Whitt has excelled in his aviation career for 50 years. He has flown planes out of the Oconee County Regional Airport for the past decade, while also serving as an instructor for the Clemson Flying Club. The Federal Aviation Administration presented Mr. Whitt with the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. His friends, family, and former students were in attendance for the event as he recounted his first solo flight in 1973. He received a certificate, plaque, and records spanning his fifty years of safe flying. Only 138 people have earned this honor in the state of South Carolina.

A 103-year-old World War II veteran was celebrated on Wednesday at the Veteran’s Retreat in Central. Corporal Ralph Conte joined the United States Army in 1942 and fought bravely for ally victory in Europe. He helped pave the way for ally supply routes, yet he does not consider himself a hero. He still grieves for the men who lost their lives both in battle and who have passed since they returned home.

The fire departments of Rocksprings and Belton will host their annual Memorial Walk on Sunday, September 8 to honor and mourn the lives lost on September 11th, 2001. The walk is a tradition to signify the importance of reflecting upon the tragedy and heroism of 9/11. The walking distance is 2.5 miles. Anyone is allowed to participate and can find details about parking, timing, and transportation online.

It is an honor to serve the Third District of South Carolina. Should you or your family need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact my office directly.
