News, Opinions and a Few Giggles, too!       DEFENDING KANSAS SAVING AMERICA   DONATE VOLUNTEER   Are You Better Off Now Than You Were Four Years Ago? America is at a critical crossroads Today, much like the position America was in at the end of Carter-era in 1980, requires America acknowledge it made a bad choice, and now it must be corrected. The convergence of skyrocketing inflation, a porous southern border, and an erratic stock market signals deep structural instability. Our national debt has spiraled to an unfathomable $35.5 trillion, ballooning by $120 million every hour. This is not just a financial crisis; it’s a crisis of leadership and priorities. And all of this was avoidable. The erosion of our fundamental rights is happening at an alarming rate. Free speech, once the bedrock of our democracy, is under relentless attack. Dissenting voices are silenced, and the marketplace of ideas is shrinking. The 2nd Amendment, a pillar of our freedoms, faces constant threats from those who seek to disarm law-abiding citizens under the guise of safety. These aren’t just political issues; they’re existential ones. Internationally, we are witnessing the collapse of American influence. Iran’s grip on the Middle East tightens as Israel finds itself increasingly isolated. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has emboldened China, which watches our passivity and prepares for its own aggression against Taiwan. Meanwhile, at home, the push for radical social agendas—like allowing men into women's locker rooms and sports—goes unchecked, and women’s rights groups remain conspicuously silent. US Economy Shows Signs of Impending Recession The US economy is flashing warning signals of a possible recession, according to recent analyses. Concerns have heightened following the release of July's jobs report, which triggered the Sahm Rule—an early indicator of recession. The Sahm Rule is activated when the three-month average of the unemployment rate rises by 0.5 percentage points compared to its lowest point over the past year. This signal has preceded every US recession since 1949. Recent data suggests that the labor market is slowing down more rapidly than anticipated, with unemployment rates trending upward. While a recession is not yet confirmed, analysts warn that the US could face economic contraction by 2025, if not sooner. Adding to these concerns is the prolonged inversion of the Treasury yield curve, a phenomenon where short-term bond yields exceed long-term yields. This unusual condition, which has persisted for over two years, typically indicates investor unease about near-term economic prospects. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve's Beige Book report, which covers economic activity from mid-July through the end of August, highlights weakening growth across the country. Whereas three months ago, 10 out of 12 Fed districts reported economic expansion, the latest report shows only three districts experiencing growth, with the remaining nine either stagnant or declining. This trend underscores growing concerns about the trajectory of the US economy. This is a time for decisive action, not complacency. Our nation’s survival depends on reclaiming our financial stability, defending our constitutional rights, and reasserting our global leadership. The time for pretending Bidenomics is good has long-since passed. We must stand firm before the America we know becomes a distant memory on the rubble pile of human failed dynasties.   Mike Brown, Chairman Kansas Republican Party Mike Brown has served as the Chairman of the Kansas Republican Party since February 2023. A 6th generation Kansan, Mike is a General Contractor in the Kansas City area and has been involved in Kansas Republican Party politics for nearly three decades. Mike and his wife, Kristi, have five grown children and live in Overland Park.   Powerful and Moving Video Released by Team RFK “Finish the Job”     “Peace Through Strength” A Strong U.S. Stabilizes the Globe   The lead spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, has stated that they view Kamala Harris, the U.S. Democratic presidential nominee, as a more predictable opponent than Republican Donald Trump. “Predictability” is international diplomatic-speak for “not too bright.” Peskov downplayed any possibility of improved relations between Russia and the United States regardless of the election's outcome. And when asked about Trump’s claims that he would end the Ukraine conflict if re-elected, Peskov dismissed the remark. Peskov reiterated that Russia has no preferred candidate, although Democrats, including Harris, are seen as easier to manipulate. President Vladimir Putin previously expressed similar sentiments about Joe Biden, sarcastically complimenting his predictability while questioning his mental fitness. Putin and Peskov have both maintained that the U.S. election is strictly a domestic affair, but the Kremlin has shown clear preferences over time. Peskov also condemned the U.S. for actions that, according to him, have undermined Russia’s interests, signaling continued tensions regardless of who wins the presidency. Putin is well aware that Trump as President freezes Russia’s ambitions and creates global stability which does not help a nation like his which thrives on chaos and a weak America. Peace Through Strength works every single time and world history proves it.     Senator Marshall Town Hall United States Senator Roger Marshall is hosting a Town Hall event on Saturday September 14, 2024 6 - 7 PM Encampment Building Dillon Hall Kansas State Fairgrounds Hutchinson, KS All are invited to attend.     Suspicious Mailers Show Up in Kansas Mail Boxes Suspicious and curious fundraising solicitation envelopes have once again continue to appear in Kansas mailboxes. According to Whatley, recent actions by Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democratic leaders indicate that they are attempting to hold onto areas where Trump has gained ground. “They are playing defense,” Whatley said during an appearance on Fox News’s *America’s Newsroom*. He pointed to Vice President Harris’s campaign stops in key states where Trump has shown increasing support, including her visit to New Hampshire on Wednesday. Second gentleman Doug Emhoff also visited Virginia earlier in the week, another state where Trump has gained momentum. “We’re playing offense, and they are playing defense,” Whatley emphasized. “Donald Trump is reaching out to every single American family, every voter, including states like Virginia, New Hampshire, and Minnesota, where the Democrats are now forced to defend their ground.” Whatley also commented on Trump’s positioning as the general election season heats up. “You think about every single one of the battleground states that we’re playing in right now, Donald Trump has leads. He’s solidifying those leads. Kamala Harris’s sugar high has ended, and we are returning right now, coming out of Labor Day, into this campaign season for real, and Donald Trump is in a great place,” Whatley concluded.     NOTE: Each week until the election, the Friday File will feature a “Getting to Know You” video or story about Kamala Harris, Tim Walz & Company. This man is an absolutely dispicable coward.     Shady Sharice We expect a Member of Congress to already know this, but here is the simple answer to your question: Stop Voting for Trillions of Dollars in Giveaways Congress wouldn’t need to do anything if the Democrat-controlled United States Congress in 2021 had acted like responsible adults and not burdened generations of Americans with debt to underwrite their folly. But here we are, AGAIN, cleaning up ANOTHER Democrat mess. Being a Member of Congress is serious business. Sharice Davids isn’t a serious person. She must be held accountable at the polls. #NeverForget                       The recent maneuver by the Democrats to discard Joe Biden in favor of Kamala Harris epitomizes the party's chaotic descent into totalitarianism. This iron-fisted move reveals a disturbing disregard for democratic principles, showcasing a leadership willing to trample over the will of the people to cement its own power. The rank and file’s acquiescence to this blatant power grab is equally alarming, signaling a blind allegiance over critical thinking. By sidelining Biden, who was elected by the public in primary and caucus elections across the nation earlier this year, the Democrats have effectively thrown democracy out the window. This orchestrated switch not only undermines the voters' choice but also sets a dangerous precedent for future political machinations. The party's actions suggest a preference for control and conformity over genuine democratic engagement, raising serious questions about the true nature of their commitment to the democratic process. All of which raise two excellent questions: Who is the President of the United States right now? And if Biden can't run for office now, how can he run the country?
