*What's New?*

Over the past month, we have made improvements to data.census.gov [ [link removed] ] that come from direct requests from our data users. Check them out!

*Introducing the Geography Information dataset:* This dataset combines all disseminated geographies into one centralized location and includes spatial attributes for the disseminated geographies, such as a point of internal latitude, a point of internal longitude, and the area of the water and land both in square meters and square miles.

A guide to the GEOINFO table on the Census Data Platform [ [link removed] ]

*New ability to download table views in the profile and map views:* Downloads will include margins of error and any column sorting you apply to the display prior to downloading the table.

*Improved layout of notes for 2022 Economic Census data tables:* When you click the "Notes" button for 2022 Economic Census data tables, notes are now organized into sections for improved standardization and readability. You will also see these improved notes when downloading the table.

*Citations now include survey sponsors:* When creating a citation, you can include the survey sponsor?s name in the author field.

*Improvements to view full table cell content on mobile devices:* When you tap on a table cell that has shortened text, a box will pop up showing you the complete text.

*Improved icons for mobile users:* Icons throughout the site are now consistently sized and appear clearly on mobile devices.

*How do I search by address using data.census.gov?*

The address search functionality on data.census.gov allows you to type in an address and get a clickable list of geography filters the address falls within.

To search by address:


* Click the geography pin icon in the single search bar on data.census.gov [ [link removed] ].
* Enter the street address in the pop-up window, as well as the city/state or ZIP code.
* Click the ?Search? button.

* View the address card, which contains a list of geographies the address falls within. Click a geography to add it as a selected filter (example: Census Tract 9800).

* You will see the geography as a filter, allowing you to view results for that geography or apply other search criteria to narrow you search.

Search by address on Census Data Platform: Population and demographic data [ [link removed] ]
