At a vocational school in Gaza, children laugh and play during a session focused on music and games led by the IRC + local partner organization, Nafs.
John, I'd like to share some inspiring photos with you, to show you the direct impact of your compassion and support. I hope you can take a few moments to scroll through and take a look. Thank you for all you do for children and families in their toughest hours.

For many children in our own lives, it's back to school season. And their biggest worries are how to make new friends, deciding what to wear, and completing challenging homework assignments.
In Gaza, the lives of children—and their access to education—have dramatically changed.
Currently, every child has experienced profoundly distressing events and trauma characterized by extensive destruction and displacement. This has led to an increased need for mental health and psychosocial support. An estimated 1 million children are currently in need of mental health and psychosocial support.
But thanks to supporters like you, the International Rescue Committee—partnering with the local organization Nafs—is able to provide much needed psychosocial services and care sessions for children in Gaza.
💛John, just take a look at our collective impact through these powerful photos:
Psychosocial care sessions involve interactive activities where children express themselves through drawing images, group activities, storytelling and imagination. One girl shared, "This is the best thing that happened since the war started."
A young girl smiles during a session for recreational activities for displaced children.
In Rafah, young children between 2-11 years old engage in activities designed to alleviate the severity of the harsh events to which these children were exposed.
This picture was taken in Khan Younis, Gaza, where IRC + partner organization, Nafs, staff members hold games and music sessions for displaced children.
Nothing can erase the immense challenges of growing up in the midst of war, but we're making significant strides in enhancing psychological resilience and well-being.
As an IRC supporter, you make this work possible. Thank you.
💛International Rescue Committee
