Rep. Nehls Meets with TX-22 Farmers Greetings! I wanted to take a moment to share with you a recap on what happened last week in Texas' 22nd District and the United States House of Representatives. This Week in TX-22 Rep. Troy E. Nehls Meets with Alvin-Manvel Chamber of Commerce, Pearland Chamber of Commerce, and Bay Area Houston Transportation Partnership at "Conversation & Coffee" I had a great time at the "Conversation & Coffee" hosted by the Alvin-Manvel Area Chamber of Commerce, Pearland Chamber of Commerce, and Bay Area Houston Transporation Partnership. During "Conversation & Coffee," I updated attendees on my work during the 118th Congress. Thank you for having me! Rep. Troy E. Nehls Meets with Texas Farm Bureau Members from TX-22 This week, I had the pleasure of having lunch with members of the Texas Farm Bureau. We had the opportunity to discuss the Farm Bill. Congress typically reauthorizes the Farm Bill every five years. Since the 1930s, Congress has enacted 18 Farm Bills. The most recent Farm Bill was the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018. It was enacted into law in December 2018 and was set to expire in 2023 but was extended to September 30, 2024. The House Agriculture Committee has successfully marked up a new Farm Bill titled the Farm, Food, and National Security Act. Our nation's farmers and ranchers work tirelessly to feed, fuel, and clothe not only the United States but people around the globe. May God bless our hardworking farmers and ranchers. Thank you, Texas Farm Bureau, for having me! Office of Rep. Troy E.
