Thank you once again for your incredible support and commitment to ending homelessness. We are truly grateful for your ongoing efforts. We're pleased to share with you the highlights of National Solidarity Week—a week of action led by leaders and supporters of the anti-homelessness movement, aimed at advocating for the unhoused and raising awareness about the harmful effects of the Grants Pass decision to fine and arrest individuals forced to sleep outside.

National Solidarity Week: Recap |
National Solidarity Week launched powerfully on August 4th with the Miami Homeless Solidarity Sleepover, led by our MCARE (Miami Coalition to Advance Racial Equity) field office. This impactful event took place at Lummus Park, right across from the historic Versace Mansion. Undeterred by the rain our dedicated advocates gathered to protest the Grants Pass verdict and stand in solidarity with our unhoused brothers and sisters. The sleepover drew significant media coverage, including features on CBS News Miami, the Miami Herald, and other local outlets. By coming together at Miami Beach, we made a bold statement against the arrests and eviction of individuals in homeless encampments. Our collective action aimed to challenge the unjust city ordinance that criminalizes sleeping on public property.
The remainder of the week was dedicated to educating the public about the far-reaching repercussions of the Grants Pass verdict. We provided various resources and informational guides to help raise awareness about the homeless crisis and its impact on our communities. We concluded National Solidarity Week with a powerful letter-writing campaign, urging local officials to repeal ordinances that criminalize homelessness. We're thrilled to announce that we collected and sent out over 100 letters, amplifying our collective voice for change.
Thank you all for your unwavering support and commitment. Stay updated with all the latest developments on the official National Solidarity Week landing page and through our social media channels.

With the upcoming election, it is crucial for all of us to exercise our rights, regardless of housing status. That's why NCH launched the "You Don’t Need a Home to Vote" campaign to promote voting access for low-income and homeless individuals. Our goal is to ensure that economically disadvantaged people have a voice in shaping their future. This toolkit offers practical ideas for individuals and organizations to help those experiencing homelessness overcome the barriers that have traditionally kept them from becoming registered, active voters. Visit our website to access all the resources we've created, including tools to help you or those in need register to vote and streamline the entire process. Your voice matters—let's make it heard!
