Since late August, the ASPCA has been assisting with multiple cases of alleged cruelty, including the removal of 13 dogs from suspected dogfighting in Darlington, South Carolina, and over 100 cats from a self-described animal rescue organization in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
We assisted The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division with operational planning and removal, evidence collection, legal and investigative assistance, forensic exams and medical and behavioral care for the dogs removed from the property. These animals, including puppies, were found in poor condition and have been relocated to an ASPCA emergency shelter for continued care and enrichment. |
