The U.S. Census Bureau plans to hold a prerelease webinar Sept. 16 to discuss the 2020 Census Supplemental Demographic and Housing Characteristics File (S-DHC) scheduled for public release Sept. 19. This is the final 2020 Census data product to be released.
The S-DHC provides average household size and counts of people living in certain types of households, and most of the tables are also available by race and Hispanic origin. The product supplements data about households and people published in the DHC in May 2023.
Data will be available for the nation, the 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
The webinar will provide guidance for data users and include information on how to access the data. A live Q&A session with Census Bureau subject-matter experts will immediately follow the briefing.
When:
Monday, Sept. 16, at 3 p.m. EDT.
Who:
-
Evan Brassell, assistant division chief for Housing Characteristics, Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division.
-
Michael Hawes, senior statistician for Scientific Communication, Research and Methodology Directorate.
-
Scott Holan, senior research fellow, Research and Methodology Directorate.
