This isn’t the email I planned to send to you today, but it’s the one I have to. I hope you take a moment to read it.
With four days until Sarah’s primary election, we're down to the wire, and we’re facing a serious challenge. Despite our incredible momentum and grassroots energy last month, our fundraising has dropped dramatically — right when we need it to surge.
Here’s the reality: After Tuesday, Sarah will officially have a Republican opponent, and there’s a very narrow window between our primary election and Election Day in November.
That means we need the resources to ramp up our voter outreach efforts over the next four days and ensure we have the budget to hit the ground running starting on Wednesday.
Right now, we’re not on track to hit our fundraising target, which could have a major impact on when we can air our TV ads and for how long. While a dollar goes a long way in a small state like Delaware, we have to buy ads in the Philadelphia media market — one of the most expensive in the country.
At the same time, we KNOW that MAGA extremists are keeping a close eye on Sarah’s race. They’re ready to pour resources, spread lies, and launch disgusting attacks to try and defeat her.
That’s why we need to pick up our fundraising pace now.
We need to raise $23,000 through email contributions this month, so I can greenlight our TV and digital ads, reach undecided voters, and combat the attacks that are sure to come our way.
Sarah is the bold changemaker we need in Congress, fighting to make historic change on the issues that matter most — from paid family and medical leave and affordable health care and housing to abortion rights. And she’s broken barriers at every turn because of supporters like you in the District of Columbia and across the country.
This race is ours to win, but only if we have the resources to keep Sarah’s vision front and center.
