Public lands host essential habitat for more than 300 bird species—such as Greater Sage-Grouse, Sandhill Cranes, and Burrowing Owls—and must be protected. Last month, after hearing from 2,900 Audubon supporters, the Bureau of Land Management released an updated plan to make solar energy siting and permitting on America’s public lands more efficient.
