Election Day is exactly two months away.
Voters paying close attention to this race often bring up just how stark the contrast is between me and my opponent Joe McGraw.
This is a fairly moderate district, but that hasn't stopped McGraw from touting some pretty extreme positions. He's outspokenly anti-choice -- having prayed to overturn Roe v. Wade – not to mention he's pushing for the oil and gas industry, despite our district being one of the leaders in biofuels.
I've sworn off fossil fuel contributions, and I wholeheartedly support reproductive freedom for all Americans. These are broadly popular positions, and as we head into the final months, we need to continue making our case – because it’s a winning one!
As you know, this is the ONLY competitive district in Illinois, and with just four seats between us and the House majority, now cannot be the time to slow down.
