John—
On Monday, students will return to school at Apalachee High School in Winder Georgia, just days after a 14-year-old shooter killed two of their classmates and two teachers.
From January 2024 to yesterday, there have already been 105 K-12 school shootings. It does not have to be this way.
Yet in the wake of this shooting, JD Vance said that school shootings are a "fact of life."
But we believe that any candidate who accepts school shootings as a "fact of life" has no business anywhere near the White House.
Channel your anger into action: Join us on Sunday to elect leaders in Georgia and nationally who will work to end gun violence—you don't even have to leave your home.
In Georgia and across the country, guns are the leading cause of death for children and teens—more than cancer, more than car accidents.
And we need you with us, to help elect Gun Sense Candidates who REJECT school shootings as just a "fact of life."
This election is far too important for us to sit on the sidelines. And when all of us come together, we can create a world where families can go about their daily lives free from the fear of gun violence.
Thank you for being with us in this fight,
Everytown for Gun Safety
