Donald Trump has been twisting himself into a pretzel trying to convince voters he is somehow going to protect women’s reproductive rights. We will not be gaslit.
Trump recently said he would vote no on a Florida ballot measure that would repeal the state’s six-week abortion ban, but just a day before, he said he was open to voting in favor of repealing the state’s abortion ban.
Confusing, we know. So, let’s be crystal clear: Someone who brags about being the guy who got Roe overturned, someone with advisors who are already planning to ban abortion nationwide should they get the chance, and someone who continually lies about the realities of abortion access, is a threat to abortion access everywhere – including here in Colorado.
Thankfully, this November, Colorado voters have the opportunity to enshrine abortion access directly into our state constitution. But Trump could come after this ballot measure here, trying to sow confusion and drive people away from voting for it, just like he’s doing in Florida. So we must be ready to fight back, no matter what Trump does or says.
