John: I wouldn’t keep emailing if it wasn’t important.

The GOP is doing everything in their power to win this seat in November, all because I will not stop fighting for working families, and standing up to the Trump administration. But our race won’t be easy. Not by a long-shot. So even though I hate emailing for money, I have to ask you: Can you donate just $5 to support my re-election?

We have a critical fundraising deadline tonight at midnight, and the truth is there has never been a more important time to donate. Trump’s Big Money donors and Republican Super PACs are planning to spend millions in California to win back seats like mine.

I want to be clear: everything is on the line this November.

I voted to impeach Donald Trump -- because I swore to uphold the Constitution. I am fighting for voting rights -- because people died for our right to vote.

And I don’t take corporate PAC or lobbyist money -- because I’ll never be influenced wealthy special interests. I only fight for you.
