Tomorrow is May Day, John.

It’s both a celebration of labor rights, and a time to recognize the plight of working-class people in our country and around the world.

We want to send a loud message to our leaders in D.C. tomorrow that now, more than ever, working people in this country lack the protection, compensation, and dignity they deserve. We want to raise the voices of women — especially from Brown and Black communities — who are working on the frontlines and have been adversely impacted by this pandemic.

We must show that, in the midst of this pandemic, we are united in the fight for a #PeoplesBailout.

That’s why we’re asking everyone to share their reality of life in this crisis with us for May Day tomorrow. We’ll share your responses on social media to make sure our leaders hear the urgent challenges we face before they vote for the next round of COVID-19 relief.

All of our lives have been impacted in some way by the COVID-19 crisis.

But it would be wrong to say that the virus is the only thing to blame for our challenges. This pandemic has exposed the long-time problems working-class families in our country face, the disparities that have formed from an economy that puts profits over people, and the broken systems that are supposed to protect the most vulnerable.

People across the country are hurting in a way we haven't seen in nearly a century. But our President and his Republican cronies in Congress still refuse to pass the COVID-19 relief measures we need to get through this crisis.

From Amazon workers striking for safer working conditions, to undocumented communities who have been barred from stimulus assistance, to families struggling with water shutoffs and long food lines, to renters and homeowners demanding rent and mortgage cancellation, women treating patients on the frontlines, to the 26 million workers who are now unemployed — our fights are connected. You’re connected to this fight, John.

Will you share why you believe it’s time for a #PeoplesBailout and help us make sure voices from all across the country are heard tomorrow? Share your story with us here so we can amplify them on social media.

Together,
