Make a Lasting Impact for the Oceans
Dear John,
Sea Shepherd is making waves in the fight to protect our oceans, but we can’t do it without the ongoing support of people like you. That’s why we’re inviting you to join our
Direct Action Crew<[link removed]>, our monthly giving program dedicated to supporting Sea Shepherd’s critical campaigns year-round.
Why Join the Direct Action Crew?
Monthly giving provides Sea Shepherd with the reliable resources needed to plan, act, and adapt quickly to the urgent threats facing marine life. When you join the Direct Action Crew, you’re not just donating—you’re investing in the future of our oceans. Your monthly support means more ghost nets pulled, more illegal fishing intercepted, and more species saved.
As a Direct Action Crew member, you also receive a members only t-shirt, 20% off our online store, and exclusive updates from our campaigns.

Your Support in Action:
Right now, your impact is more critical than ever. DAC members helped our flagship, the M/V Seahorse, get a significant upgrade this summer with a new three-ton crane that will triple our capacity to remove ghost nets from the UNESCO-recognized habitat of the critically endangered Vaquita porpoise—the most endangered marine mammal on earth.

Ghost nets drift aimlessly for months or even years, ensnaring and killing marine life, and pushing species to the brink of extinction. Over the past decade, in partnership with the Mexican government, we’ve removed over 1,000 of these deadly nets from the Vaquita Refuge. In 2023 alone, we’ve pulled over 10 miles of nets from the Upper Gulf.
Not only does the Seahorse have a new three-ton crane, but we now have a net grinder as well. Thanks to the Direct Action Crew, we can detect these deadly nets, locate them, pull them from the ocean, and finally destroy them so their killing days are gone forever. That is the impact the DAC makes possible.
With your help<[link removed]>, we’ll do even more.

We’ve also launched a new campaign to protect the Bajos del Norte Reef, one of the Western Hemisphere’s largest and most biodiverse coral reefs. The M/V Bob Barker is currently safeguarding this remote reef and its incredible inhabitants, including coral, sharks, groupers, and many more species threatened by illegal fishing.
Your monthly support directly fuels these critical campaigns, empowering our crews to take bold actions to protect marine life, from the Vaquita porpoise in the Upper Gulf to the thriving but vulnerable ecosystems of Bajos del Norte.
We Need Your Support to Keep the Momentum Going.
Your commitment as a monthly donor empowers our ships and crews to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing our oceans today. Together, we can protect vulnerable species, preserve vital ecosystems, and create lasting change.
Join the Direct Action Crew today<[link removed]> and be part of a community laser-focused on defending the ocean every single day.
Thank you for your support and dedication to Sea Shepherd’s mission.
