Launching the Texas Prenatal to Three (PN-3) Collaborative!
With over 100 partner organizations around the state and the generous support of the Pritzker Children's Initiative, the Collaborative is working with the Legislature and other state leaders to improve support for babies, toddlers, new moms, and other parents of young kids.
Some of the key policy goals, which have become even more urgent amid coronavirus and the recession, include:
- Reducing the uninsured rate for kids and moms and improving access to health care;
- Screening and connecting babies, toddlers, and their parents to key supports, such as Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) and home visiting; and
- Boosting access to high-quality child care.
By supporting Texas kids during the critical early years of brain development, these policies will give children a strong foundation for growing up healthy, arriving at school ready to learn, and reaching their potential.
