John, did you see this breaking news?
It truly brings me no joy to share this news. I love this city – and now more than ever, New York City needs leadership we can trust.
But amidst an unending stream of stories about the Adams Administration being raided and investigated by federal law enforcement, it is clear that New Yorkers are not getting the steady leadership we deserve.
New York City needs honest and focused leadership. That’s why I’m running for mayor.
Will you make a contribution of $10 or any amount to my campaign right now? Your donation has a direct and immediate impact on my campaign to provide the trustworthy leadership New Yorkers need to deliver a more livable, more affordable, and better-run city.

John, I take trustworthiness very seriously. I have all throughout my time in City government.
It’s why I made sure the Comptroller’s office adopted a policy to disclose all of our lobbying meetings (which the Mayor stopped doing, and the Comptroller’s office hadn’t done before). It’s why we pride ourselves on our rapid response to FOIL requests – and provide unprecedented transparency into our pension investments.
As a City Council Member, it’s why I was a leader in strengthening New York City’s campaign finance laws – including authoring the Independent Expenditure Disclosure Act – New Yorkers could count on seeing where campaign contributions really come from.
It’s pretty simple. All New Yorkers should be able to trust that their City government is working in their best interest – spending taxpayer dollars wisely, providing critical services, and keeping people safe. We don’t have that right now. I’m running for Mayor to change that.
Please consider kicking in a few dollars to my campaign to provide the honest, steady leadership New Yorkers deserve.

P.S. Are you a lawyer? Fortunately, I don’t need your services for defense counsel of my own. But I would love it if you’d join us for our “Lawyers for Lander” meet and greet later this month (you can RSVP here).
